Church leaders trg on preventive and care intervention in Mokokchung

One day training for church leaders on preventive and care intervention was held at Alempang Baptist church, Mokokchung on 28th April 2009 with Reverend Dr. Banner Maken, New Delhi Consultant for Tear Fund UK as the resource person. The training focused on the role of church leaders in combating the dreaded disease HIV and AIDS.
According to an official bulletin, 40 participants including pastors and leaders from seventeen (17) churches of Mokokchung town attended the training. Yapang, NEI, Shillong initiated the training with devotion and food for thought from bible followed by two intensive sessions on preventive and care intervention by Reverend Maken.
The training was organized by the Life Fountain centre (LFC) and sponsored by North East India Committee on Relief and Development (NEICORD) Shillong. LFC is a social concern wing of the Alempang Baptist Church (ABA) Mokokchung and a permanent Home Mission project of ABA towards social issues. The LFC also endeavors for working relations with other churches and NGOs working for social issues.
