1 held for extortion

Dimapur police Friday apprehended one habitual extortionist from his residence at Dillai gate, here at around 8.10 am. Police identified the arrested person as Imkong Meren son of Toshi Jamir of Khar Village resident of Dillai gate.
According to police, the arrested person used to move around in a bike (NL 07E-6166) and extort money from non-locals especially cyclists and pedestrians residing at various colonies: PWD, fellowship, supply and residency at gun point and by using knives. Police also recovered a pulsar bike and some cash amount from his possession. The arrested person has been reprimanded to police custody for further interrogation.
