Farmers trained on technical know-how

Department of Agriculture under Mini Mission-II of Jute Technology & NOVOD GOI, Ministry of Agriculture organized one day farmers training at DAO Office, Conference Hall Dimapur.
Altogether 95 farmers participated the training. District Training Officer Apong Pongener, highlighted the Mini Mission-II of Jute Technology & NOVOD programme. He also stressed on economic importance of Jute, Ramie and Jatropha crops. Bendanglila, APP Dimapur enlightened the farmers on technical know how of ramie cultivation, fibre of which was used for manufacturing of textile products, fishing net, parachute and currency notes.
While Mongsanger, Ao spoke on technical package & practices of Jute cultivation and its economic importance.
Earlier the session was chaired by Nguzonyi Wetsah, DAO Dimapur and vote of thanks was pronounced by Kezhaleu, MO. Later seeds of Jute and Jatropha were distributed to the participants free of cost.
