The second end term fashion show at government polytechnic Kohima (GPK) of the 2nd and 3rd batch of the department of fashion technology was held at the Institute premise with Athili Kathipri, additional director of technical education as chief guest.
Congratulating the passing out students, he said the institute was second to none, and added the course offered by the department of Fashion Technology falls under NIFT, Kolkata and so the course taught there was at par with the rest of the country.
Emphasizing on the department which started in 2004 at GPK, he encouraged the youngsters to avail the best facilities, in terms of machineries and also for the reason that home is the best place to study.
The end term fashion show showcased the designs of the eight outgoing students and two personal collections of Medovina moc-ha and Rosou Rhi, outgoing students of the fashion technology department.
The best design and creativity award of 2005-2008 and 2006-2009 batches were bagged by Tzunapen Imchen and Rensali Tungoe respectively.
The show was choreographed by Azi Tetseo, welcome speech by Er. Arjun Singh, principal GPK and vote of thanks by Kerehienuo Sorhie.
