Tobu farmers trained on pest management

Department of Agriculture under sub divisional agriculture officer Tobu conducted six days Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training cum demonstration on use of plant protection, chemicals and rodent management.
The training was conducted on jhum fields from June 25 to 30 with Kinatoshi and Imsusangba as resource persons. The main objective of the training was to provide technical knowledge to farmers on IPM, use of plant protection chemicals and rodent management. The training programme assisted by AI and four AFA conducted six trainings in six villages under Tobu sub division including Tobu, Shamnyu, Chennyu, Kenchenshu, Yakshu and Changlangshu village. It was attended by around 300 members of farmers from different villages and ended with distribution of different type of kits, pesticides and insecticides to the farmers by SDAO and his staff.
