Suspected malaria patients examined

More than 300 suspected malaria patients were examined by the medical mobile team led by Dr. Yingnei in Nokzang village, Mon on Saturday. According to the latest report received only 6 patients were confirmed to be effected by malaria.
Dr. Yingnei, talking to this correspondent, disclosed that most of the patients were suffering from airborne and waterborne diseases and not from malaria. Clarifying on the reported deaths in Nokzang village, Mon, Dr. Yingnei said out of 16 deaths reported earlier, two persons died due to TB disease, one died of cancer while another died due to stroke. However, he could not confirm the cause of the rest of the victims who died in the month of May, June and July this year.
