Wokha to observe Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas

Along with the rest of the nation, Wokha district will observe Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas on August 20.
According to ADC Wokha, Athel O. Lotha to mark the occasion, various activities like ‘Run for peace’, essay writing competition with 500 words for class-VIII, IX and X on the topic, “potential of renewable energy” and painting competition for class-V and VII on the topic, ‘renewable energy’ will also be conducted.
In this regard, all head of institutions have been informed to send five volunteers to participate in the run for peace and three students each for essay and painting competition respectively.
SP Wokha, Imli Sunep will grace the occasion as chief guest and will flag off the run for peace at 7 am at local football ground, Wokha, while prize distribution ceremony will held at GHSS at 1 pm.
