Ao Senden and Concerned Senior Citizens Forum (CSCF), Mokokchung Saturday said Nagas should learn more from each other to work together as “brothers and sisters” for the common interest of all Nagas.
In a joint press statement, the Ao Senden president Lentinokdang and CSCF member advocate B. Namo lauded the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for initiating peace and reconciliation amongst the Nagas and all “Naga National organizations” for upholding the Naga national principles while taking maximum pain and tolerance.
It also lauded Naga National organisations for their understanding to come together by listening to the calls of the Naga public and FNR in particular.
The signatories pointed out that it was time to ponder together and evolve a political strategy from amongst the Naga national workers themselves and create a platform where they could immediately formulate concrete policies towards “Indo-Naga political settlement.”
Ao Senden and CSCF suggested that all the factions should maintain status-quo keeping in view to have only one Naga National Government, one Army and one political goal under one common seal which should be the Naga National political principle.
“As we continue reconciliation move amongst the Nagas as one of the means to achieve our goal which is a long process; we must not forget our main political objective and should also reconcile with negotiating parties and other nations of the world,” the two bodies advocated.
It also stated that learning lessons from the past mistakes, the Nagas this time should not miss such an opportunity of spirit of coming and working together and understand each others position.
The leaders of the Naga National workers, the signatories said should not be mislead by any force/adversary and that they should be more cautious not to make political blunder as before like in the late sixties and seventies.
“We all should appreciate the on-going Indo-Naga political dialogue which is for all the Nagas and the political wings of negotiation should be expanded where all Nagas should contribute their best with one voice,” Ao Senden and CSCF maintained.
Pointing out that Nagas were indigenous People of the world, as per UN Declaration of on the rights of the Indigenous Peoples, the two bodies felt there was enough scopes to accommodate and fulfill the Naga socio-political rights under this declaration if the Nagas can move together in the right direction.
