Kohima healing festival begins

A confluence of thousands of believers on Thursday evening marked the opening night of the much awaited Kohima Healing Festival here at Kohima local ground. The festival, set with the theme “I am the Lord who heals you” is aimed at reviving citizens of Kohima physically, spiritually, emotionally, socially through Jesus Christ.
President of Oasis World Ministries USA, Rev. Tom Elie, spoke on the opening night. He will be the main speaker for the four day inter-denominational healing festival.
Songs were presented by Khedi Baptist Church choir and Sanctuary Choir of Union Baptist Church. Scripture reading and prayer was led by Rev.K. Lürüo, state chaplain, Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
Highlights of the following services include music performance by choirs from various churches and Bible Seminaries in Kohima, word of greetings by Rev.Moses Murry, general superintendent, Assemblies of God, NE India, Rev.R.P. Murry, finance secretary, NBCC, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, minister for Urban Development and Higher Education, and Rev.Dr. Luozilie Sanchu. A seminar on the topic ‘Ignite the Fire” for church leaders, pastors, deacons, etc will be held from September 24-26 at the First Assembly of God Church, Officers’ Hill Kohima from 9:30 am to 2 pm. Rev Tom Elie and Rev. Timothi Rao, National Director of Oasis World Ministries India, will be the resource persons. The service timings from September 24-26 will be 4:30 pm, while the Sunday morning service will be at 9:30 am and Sunday evening service at 3:30 pm.
