NRE brochure launched

The 1st brochure of the department of new & renewable energy was formally launched by Deo Nukhu Advisor, New and Renewable Energy (NRE), Sc. & Tech, Art & Culture, on Friday at SIRD Conference Hall.
The department of NRE, which was erstwhile known as Non-Conventional Energy Cell, Department of Rural Development, Nagaland Kohima under the ministry of New & Renewable Energy became a full fledged department in July with the agenda to address and implement renewable energy programme in the state. Various schemes undertaken by department are national bio gas, and manure management programme, energy park, solar thermal extension programme, bio-mass gasifier project, rural electrification programme, wind energy, solar photo voltaic, district advisory committee, Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas and information and publicity for awareness.
