Joining the rest of the country, Nagaland is all set to kick-start the National Campaign on Homoeopathy for Mother and Child Care in the state on the theme ‘Healthy Mother and Happy Child’. At the kick-off, a State Workshop on the roles, potentials, care and caution, and limitations as well as ways of mainstreaming of Homoeopathy in promoting and enhancing maternal and child health will be organized at Hotel Japfu, Kohima on October 13 and 14.
Organized by AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy) Wing of the Department of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of Nagaland), and sponsored by AYUSH Department and Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India), the two-day workshop will have scientific inputs by eminent speakers and practitioners of Homoeopathy, including faculty members from National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, and senior Gynaecologists and Paediatricians from Nagaland.
Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry will grace the inaugural function as Chief Guest on October 13, while at the valedictory session on October 14, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, Alemtemshi Jamir will grace as the chief guest. Participants at workshop will include Senior Medical Officers of Community Health Centres (CHCs), AYUSH doctors serving in government sector, private practitioners and members of NGOs in the state.
