The board members and staff of inter-denominational churches care and support for HIV and AIDS (IDCCS), DIC Wokha have condemned the incident that took place at Wokha where a mobile vehicle of ICTC was burnt down by unidentified persons on October 25.
Z. Libenthung Murry, project manager, IDCCS Wokha in press note stated that the lone mobile ICTC allotted to one NGO in the name of CYSA by NSACS were engaged in providing services such as medical camps, counseling, blood test, referral and treatment services, particularly in rural areas besides linkages and referral services to IDCCS care and support DIC Wokha and various health related NGO’s in Wokha district for the past four months.
It condemned the “barbaric and inhuman act” and appealed to all right thinking citizens to condemn the incident. While appealing to authority in -charge to book the culprit involved in the incident “at the earliest”, it also appealed to NSACS for early resumption of services for welfare of the people of Wokha district.
