High Mountain School managing board, staff, students, parents and alumni of the school on Saturday celebrated silver jubilee at the school premises. High Mountain School, Signal Angami is situated 5 km away from Dimapur main town situated adjacent to Rangapahar Army cantonment with safe pollution free environment.
Stressing on the silver anniversary theme ‘Integrity Building’ chief guest for the occasion Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, Principal OTS said ‘Integrity’ was what the world was looking for.
The world wants men, women, politician, teachers and leaders with integrity and without integrity, life would be simply termed as ‘big noise’. Stating that Nagaland needed men and women of integrity to usher in a new a dimension, Rev. Dr. Wati Aier called upon students of High Mountain School to built the integrity of honestly and discipline.
Earlier, opening song was presented by senior choir, guitar ensemble by Yanger and team and special song by jubilee choir. Chief guest also presented awards to alumni of the school.
Principal of the school Kedivito Savi highlighting the history of the school said the institution was composed of effort from many right thinking people who respect true education. Besides academic teaching in classes, the school imparts physical education, stresses importance on music and targets to educate students with dignity of labour, the sign of which could be seen in the maintenance of school compound beautifying with trees and variety of fruit trees. The quality educations like integrity, self discipline, obedience, faith were added to life by way of conducting seminars and camping.
He said the programme of controlling of students mind in the right receptive age gave a strong foundation to many present and future leaders.
Chairman, school managing boars N. Savi pronounced the vote of thanks and benediction by Signal Angami Baptist Church, Keviyakho Khro pastor. The celebration was marked by extravaganza sum feast.
