ENCSU meet
DIMAPUR: Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has convened a meeting on December 10, 10am at Duda Guest House, Kohima. All unit general secretaries and college representatives under Eastern Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting.
LSTD meet
DIMAPUR: Longsa Sensotsür Telongjem Dimapur (LSTD) has convened its 28th general meeting on December 5, 10am at the residence of Imtiangzuk, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
VDBSAZD general conference
DIMAPUR: Village Development Board Secretaries Association Zunheboto District (VDBSAZD) has convened its general conference on December 4 at Zunheboto Town Hall with K.C. Nihoshe, parliamentary secretary Industries and Commerce, Nagaland as the chief guest. All VDB secretaries under Zunheboto district have been requested to attend the conference.
TSUD informs
DIMAPUR: Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has informed that the union would be selling news papers (Capi and Ralha) for fund raising. TSUD deputy speaker Abin has requested all unit presidents to collect the newspaper along with their volunteers on December 2 at 6:30am from the union office.
CMO Zunheboto informs
DIMAPUR: Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Zunheboto has informed that an emergency meeting has been convened on December 4, 10am at CMO chamber. All medical officers have been requested to attend the meeting.
DC Mon informs
DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS has informed the public of Mon town and Naginimora town that there would be a special summary revision of the existing Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2010 as the qualifying date. The draft publication of existing rolls would be held on November 30, the period for lodging claims and objections would be held from November 30 to December 9, the period for disposal of claims and objections would be from December 10 to 16, the period for filing appeal to authority would be from December 17 to 21, the preparation of list of supplements would be till December 23 and the final publication of E/Roll would be December 29.
Arirang Club foundation day
KOHIMA: The Arirang Club, Nagaland will be observing its foundation day on December 1, 1 pm at Korean Pavilion, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. All the club members have been requested to attend the same without fail. Further, on the spot registration for new members and renewal of registration for the members will be done on the same day.
NNP+ to observe world AIDS day
KOHIMA: The NNP+ in collaborations with LF-UNAIDS, DAPCU, KNP+ and FXB will observe world AIDS day on December 1 at 8.00 at Naga Hospital Authority Complex Kohima, with Dr. Nandira, Medical Superintendent, NHAK as the guest speaker.
CM to inaugurate “Kids Carnival”
KOHIMA: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio will inaugurate the ‘Kids Carnival’ on December 1, 10 am at Kisama. The ‘Synergy Group Enterprise’ (SGE) is organizing the ‘Kids Carnival’ from December 1 to 7 at Kisama, Heritage Village, during Hornbill Festival 2009.
PTCSU general session
KOHIMA: The first general session of Pfutsero Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) will be held on December 9, 10 am at town hall Pfutsero with Kedungupe Ritsa, secretary NPF central office and chairman APMC Pfustero as chief guest. All school and college students have been requested to attend the session while all public leaders, teachers, HODs and elders have been invited to grace the session.
State Rajya Sainik board meet
DIMAPUR: The 17th annual meeting of Rajya Sainik Board Nagaland state branch would be held on December 2, 12 noon at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima. The presidential address would be delivered by the governor of Nagaland.
AICC CEA member arriving in state
DIMAPUR: Former member of parliament (MP) and All India Congress Committee (AICC) Central Election Authority (CEA) member A P Sethi would visit Nagaland December 6 to ascertain the progress of membership drive.NPCC general secretary (admn) Medokul Sophie, in through a press note, has requested all PCC executive members, PCC members, DCC presidents and ACCC presidents to meet its central leader in at Congress Bhavan, Kohima 2 p.m.
‘Netaji with the Nagas’ to be screened
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Centre for Human Development and Information Technology (NCHD-IT) in collaboration with Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) will be organizing the screening of documentary film ‘Netaji with the Nagas’- The last camp in India on December 1, 3 pm at Rotary Club Auditorium. The documentary film on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose has been brought out to highlight some sensational facts not known to people as there is no information from writings of various researchers and some INA generals that INA could penetrate deep into the territory of India and even hoisted the National Flag on Indian soil at Moirang.
