Food show organised in Peren

DIMAPUR: The first ever food show of Peren district, organised by Department of Women Development Nagaland was held on November 27 at Peren Town Women Welfare Organisation hall, Peren.
Peren deputy commissioner Khrienuo Metha presided over the inaugural function. In her address she extended gratefulness to Women Development Department led by Neilavoü Keditsu, Additional Director & HoD, Women Development Department for helping the district by organising a separate food competition for Peren.
The DC said the programme was organized to promote Naga dishes and also highlighted the government’s programme to standardize Naga cuisines in the near future, which would pave the way for employment especially to the educated unemployed youth.
According to an official bulletin, the judges in the food competition included Neilavoü, Additional Director Women Development; Khamba, Joint Director, Women Development and Khrieno Tachü, Assistant Director, Women Development. The winners and all participants were given cash awards. Other highlights included welcome address by Adai, president ZMO, invocation prayer by Apele, secretary JBMM. Vote of thanks was delivered by Apeuna, president, PTWWO followed by feast.
MTSU informs

DIMAPUR: Mongkolemba Town Student’s Union (MTSU) has notified all 1st divisioners/ distinction holders in their respective subjects from matric exams and above to submit xerox copy of marksheet and admit card before December 20 at its office.
MTSU also thanked all members of Falcon Club, Mangkolemba for distributing blankets among elders in different wards.
WDAU annual session cum picnic

DIMAPUR: The annual session cum picnic of Wokha District Atorickshaw Union (WDAU) was held on November 28 at New Wokha Village where about 150 registered members attended the programme. The main highlights of the programme were presentation of annual reports of the union’s activities and financial report by respective secretaries.
President, WDAU C. Chonchithung Murry has thanked Col. RC Katoch, commandant and Major. Nitin Langeh, Adjudant, 14th Assam Rifles stationed at Wokha for their support, Wokha villagers for their concern and also the members for being present at the picnic.
