Rotary district governor visits Ringwell project

District Governor 3240 Rtn Ajit Irom made an official visit to Rotary Ringwell project at Khatkatti Adult literacy centre and vocational training centre at Gautam Bosti on November 25. Meeting president Rtn NRC Nair and the secretary Deepak Chetri he explained the importance of active implementation of the Polio-Plus programme an major project of Rotary international for total eradication of Polio globally. He also impressed upon the members to donate generously toward Rotary foundation to make the Rotary movement a strong and vibrant world.
During the club assembly all directors presented their plans and programs.
The major highlights included welcome address by the president, presentation secretarial report and felicitation of the district governor by first lady Anne Maya Nair along with Dimapur and Chumukedima representative Rtn Vijay Sharma. A sewing machine was also donated to a poor girl by the district governor and vote of thanks proposed by Rtn Dr BL Agarwalla.
On November 29 Rotary club organized a free diabetic detection camp and examined and 30 people from which those diagnosed as diabetic were referred to medical specialists.
