State department of finance, in reference to the provisions under Rule 6 of the Nagaland Services (Revision of Pay) Rules 2010 regarding applicability of the revised scale of pay and exercise of option, has reminded that all those state government employees who opt to continue to draw pay in the existing scale under the pre-2010 ROP Rules would have to exercise option in the prescribed form within the stipulated time as mentioned in the Rules ibid. An office memorandum issued by additional chief secretary and finance commissioner Toshi Aier has requested all departments to bring this to the notice of employees under their control for information and necessary action.
