All Nagaland Services 6th ROP forum to launch peaceful agitation

All Nagaland Services 6th ROP Demand Forum in its general meeting on April 13 has decided to launch series of peaceful means of agitation to draw government’s attention to the implementation of 6th ROP w.e.f January 1, 2006. The first phase of the agitation will be wearing of black badge for 5 days from April 22 to 26.
The Forum informed all associations /departments that black arm bands or black badges should be displayed prominently on left arm or chest whichever was convenient. Forum has asked respective associations /departments to arrange black cloth/ ribbon and distribute among the respective officers and staff as the forum officials cannot do so due to time constraints.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Services Association (NDMSA), Nagaland Electricity Field Workers’ Association, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association Dimapur unit and Tseminyu unit has pledged its full support to ROP Demand Forum and informed members and zonals to cooperate with the forum by wearing black arm bands from April 22 to 28.
All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association Dimapur unit informed those schools who could not collect the badges to collect it on April 21 from DIS office Dimapur and Niuland.
The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association unit has requested all heads of government institute under Tseminyu division to arrange black arm bands for their staff and also informed its members, especially Hindi teachers, serving in private institutes to make their own arrangement for the black arm bands.
