Ambulance rescue services

The State Transport Department today formally handed over two fully equipped ambulances which were received from the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Department of Road Transport & Highways as part of the Highway Road safety scheme to state Health and Family Welfare department.
One each of the fully equipped ambulance will be now placed at Dimapur and Mokokchung respectively to cover NH-39, NH-160 and NH-155 for the road safety services such as any untoward highway accidences and to ferry the injured to the nearest hospitals.
The ambulances were formally handed over to the state Health & Family Welfare department by Additional Secretary Transport N Hangsing, in presence of Joint Commissioner Transport H. Achumi at Transport Commissioner Office complex here today.
Dr. Kevichusa Deputy Director Health & Family Welfare received the ambulance on behalf of the department.
The ambulances were sponsored by Government of India Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, and Department of Road Transport & Highways as part of the Highway Road safety scheme.
