ATMA Dimapur anti rabies vaccination camp

One day animal fertility cum anti rabies vaccination camp was organized and sponsored by ATMA Dimapur on May 13 at Kuhoboto K.G.P.O conference hall.
Altogether 300 dogs were vaccinated on free of cost and 120 farmers from 30 villages attended the camp. The training programme was chaired by Toivi BTT convener, Kuhuboto ATMA Block and welcomed all participants by Dr. Inato, VAS. The keynote address was given by Dr.V.H.Shohe DVO Dimapur.
Meanwhile, DAO & PD (ATMA) Dimapur N. Wetsah exhorted the participants to take full advantage of free vaccination to dogs to save human life from dog biting. He also stressed on the Vision 2020 “Food for All” focused by the country and the role of ATMA towards farmers community to achieve the vision goal.
In the technical session, Dr.R.Temjen Ao, deputy director ICDP spoke on ‘Economic importance of diary farming in rural areas’ while the topic on ‘Effect of rabies on warm blooded mammals’ was delivered by Dr. L.G.Zhimomi, deputy director veterinary hospital, Dimapur.
Meanwhile, the farmer participants expressed gratitude to ATMA Dimapur for organizing the long felt need of farmers Community of the area and requested the ATMA to conduct such programmes in the future.
