GPRN/NSCN Thursday said it would not participate in the forthcoming Chiangmai meeting owing to “prior commitments” which needed “urgent attention of the officials at home”. GPRN/NSCN, however, assured FNR, political groups, “Quaker friends” and well wishers that even if its delegation would not be attended, the “undying hope and vision of the Naga people for genuine Reconciliation” would be its commitment. A MIP, GPRN/NSCN statement said “bountiful support and co-operation” towards FNR’s Journey of Common Hope would go on undisturbed.
