Mokokchung District Fish Farmers Association (MDFFA) today distributed around 2 lakhs fish hatchlings to 159 members of its association in front of the District Fishery Office. The hatchlings were distributed under the guidance and supervision of the MDFFA for surplus production of fishes from next year. The association would also be devising marketing strategy so farmers could reap rich benefits.
MDFFA disclosed a ‘Common Pond’ was being constructed in order study and conduct practical works and there were plans to distribute hatchlings from the Common Pond from the coming year.
