RC ‘students’ safety insurance program’

Rotary Club of Dimapur initiated a program as a district project for the benefit of school going students since 2003 known as “Students Safety Insurance Program” (Personal Accidental Insurance) which provides relief of Rs. 25,000/- to the family of member in case of death and Rs. 1000/- to the student in case of injury.
The program since then has received tremendous support from the school authority and all expenses are borne by the club. Under this program 17,942 students of 36 schools have been covered so far. This year Dipploo Biswas, a student of class IV of MGM higher secondary school, Midland, Dimapur was killed in a road accident but since he was covered under the program, his father Raidhon Biswas was awarded a relief (Accident Death Claim) of Rs. 25,000/- on July 29 in the presence of school administration in Rotary Centre, Dimapur.
