Apology demanded from NTTU

September 8, 2010 | by admin

Refuting allegations made by the Nagaland Timber Traders Union that top official of the forest department was involved in alleged manipulation of wagon allotment, Chief Conservator of Forest (EBR) Albert Solo IFS has asked NTTU to tender unconditional apology for unwarranted and unsubstantiated allegations failing which appropriate legal recourse, action would be initiated. In his communiqué, Solo drew attention to various reports appearing in the local press wherein NTTU accused the official of the department of alleged manipulation of wagons for carriage of timber. He termed them as vague and generalized and not specific but which tarnished the image of the department. He said NTTU should be specific and bold and able to stand court scrutiny.
