KDSSU flays delay in MoU implementation

October 1, 2010 | by admin

Kiphire District Sumi Students’ Union (KDSSU) has expressed resentment over the delay in implementing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed before the up-gradation of Kiphire division to a full fledged district in 2003.
In this regard, the Eastern sub Sumi Hoho Kiphire has earlier on August 28 submitted a memorandum to the state government and state chief minister “to ascertain the anomalies contained in the memorandum” requesting to implement it.
KDSSU further alleged that instances of anomalies were evident from the way 1st, 2nd and 3rd IR Battalion recruitment were conducted through political background and appointing only few numbers as against actual number of post.
KDSSU also mentioned that out of 36 teachers (GT, UGT) recruitment under CSS, only four posts were given instead of seven.
Stating that recruitment for LDA cum computer assistant and others should be fairly conducted without allocation from the district level as ‘backward reservation’ had already been compensated in the directorate as well as Dimapur, KDSSU president Hokhevi and general secretary John Kinny said no privileges should be given to any community other than the guideline of P&AR department.
