Financial literacy awareness prog

A day long programme on financial literacy and awareness-cum–recovery camp was conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) on October 10 at Kutsapo village, Phek. The programme was organized for the borrowers and general public where more than fifty villages including women attend the programme.
Branch manager Paogim Haokip explained on various schemes for farmers and self help groups. Stressing on the importance of timely recovery of loan installments and its positive effects, the branch manager requested borrowers to cooperate with the bank for recovery of irregular loans for the greater interest of the public and explained about the recovery tools which could be used by the bank.
Deputy manager of the bank Likhan Rajkonwar discussed on various deposit schemes as well as the facilities provided by the bank including ATM, mobile banking, internet banking etc. Recovery agent Vengoi Nienu, youth president of village Sikholie, women VDB secretary, Nekudulu, self help group leader Ruyizolu, assistant teacher of Villafe School Shekhoto and farmer Vepachiyi also spoke at the awareness programme.
