The Hindu Seva Samiti has declared the Durga Puja awards for various categories after the 3-day celebration of Durga Puja in Dimapur. The judges comprising Chandu Agarwal, Debika Roy, Kedar Kulkarni, Prakash Chakraborty and Sharmila Choudhury visited various Puja Pandals during the celebration and adjudged the following results:
1st—Babulal Kachari Puja Committee; 2nd—K Kire Durga Puja Committee; 3rd—Westyard Puja Committee; best idol—Progressive Youth, Burma Camp; best decoration—Shree Durga Mandir, Old Daily Market; best disciplined—United Durga Puja Committee, Circular Road; best Puja atmosphere—Bank Colony, Dimapur; best music—Chatteswary Durga Puja Committee; New Upcoming Puja—6th Mile Puja Committee; Oldest Puja—Purana Bazaar (since 1882); and Silver Jubilee celebration this year to Burma Camp Power House; Metha Colony Durga Puja; Babulal Kachari Puja Committee; Hazi Park Puja Committee.
Meanwhile, the Hindu Seva Samiti expressed gratitude to Nagaland Roller Flour Mill, District Administration, Dimapur Police, Dimapur Municipal Council and Dhansiri River Pollution Board for their support and cooperation for the conduct of successful and peaceful puja.
