Armed goons loot shop

Two armed miscreants Friday evening barged into a shop, located at GS Road here, and fled away with cash box and some documents.
According to eyewitness, the armed goons, who arrived in a Bolero (maroon colour), fired two shots in the air when some passersby attempted to prevent them from feeling.
The gunshots created panic among those shopping in the area which ultimately made the traders down shutters.
Shopkeepers alleged that one IRB patrol party nearby did not respond even after miscreants fired blank shots.
Meanwhile, commenting on the spate of incidents taking place against the business community, Dimapur chamber of commerce president Kasheto said situation in Dimapur was totally going “haywire” and “out of control”.
“Its high time we put an end to this,” he said, and disclosed that business community would meet top officials on Monday.
