In view of forthcoming “North East Agri Expo” and Christmas season, the DMC has directed all commercial establishments and residents, situated within municipal limits to white wash their respective buildings/shops and paint shutters with sky blue colour. An official order issued by municipal CEO Nikhashe Sema also directed all the responsible to illuminate their respective premises with colourful bulbs, stars etc. and to keep the lights on during night throughout the festive season. The order has also directed all to complete painting and decoration within Dec 10. The CEO said failing to comply with its directives, defaulters would be penalized– to pay fine followed by cancellation of trade licence.
