Auxiliary secretary, Bible Society of India (BSI), Dimapur, Rev. Dr. Z.K Rochill has appealed all Churches and denominations to observe December 5 as Bible Sunday and send offering to nearest auxiliaries. Rochill further added that in 1545 AD Rev. Thomas Cronli of England declared first Sunday of December as Bible Sunday appealing to all the Churches and denominations to observe Bible Sunday with prayer and offering, so that money collected could be used for Bible translation, production and distribution.
In this regard Rochill added that the BSI is a family member of United Bible Societies consisting of 145 National Bible Societies working in 200 countries around the world and that Bible Society ministry around the world sustains because of Bible Sunday collection.
