The 45th general conference of Yimchunger Akherü Arihako (YAA) was held from January 11-14 at Chessore village under the theme “my society, my responsibility”.
Kuzholuzo Nienu, minister for health and family welfare and Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary RD and REPA were the chief guests and Torechu, parliamentary secretary CAWD and Tohanba, parliamentary secretary IPR and Eco & Stats as guests of honour.
During the conference, a new team of office bearers was also elected for 2011-13 with Throngshe as president, Lendimew, Susang and Müzüngchim as vice presidents; Deventhong as general secretary and a host of other secretaries and executives. Shahoto, Throngso, Kiutsuthong and Makezho were elected in the advisory board.
The union further expressed gratitude to the chief guests and guests of honour for their presence and their support towards the community.
YAA also thanked Chessore village for hosting the conference, and other well wishers for making the conference a success.
