Changtongya Block ASHA training underway

Five-day NRHM ASHA training on Module VI for Changtongya Block commenced on February 8.
Dr. S. S Akaba deputy CMO Mokokchung while speaking at the inaugural function urged ASHAs to learn and participate during such trainings so as to gain confidence in serving the community.
He also called upon ASHAs to participate in all national programs on health and also maintain records of their daily activities.
Basing on skills that save lives, ASHAs would be trained on being an ASHA, maternal health and newborn health.
ASHAs would also go for field visit to the nearby villages during practical session.
The trainers were Watisangla LHV, Susutila LHV, Asangla ASHA coordinator Changtongya block.
On the concluding day, all participants would be distributed ASHA kit, digital thermometer and baby weighing machine.
