Veteran Naga politician and former Governor of Goa and Maharashtra Dr S.C.Jamir has been included into the Congress Working Committee,as a permanent invitee of the highest political forum of the party Friday. Dr Jamir including Hemoprova Saikia (wife of late Hiteswar Saikia former chief minister of Assam) are the only two from the entire north east who have been included in the reorganized CWC. Former Goa chief minister Eduardo Falerio has been appointed as AICC general secretary in-charge of Nagaland and Major (Rtd) Ved Prakash has been appointed as secretary in-charge Nagaland. The CWC has been reorganized by AICC president Sonia Gandhi, who has been authorized by the AICC. Congress sources said Dr Jamir will leave shortly for New Delhi to meet with party leaders.
