Naga Students’ Union Mumbai (NSUM) in co-ordination with Naga Christian Fellowship Mumbai (NCFM) held a candle lighting prayer service on March 19.
The programme was organized on the request by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation to support Naga Reconciliation: A Journey of Common Hope
The service started with a special prayer by Apem Khamrang followed by sharing of opinions on the ongoing Naga struggle for sovereignty and reconciliation process.
The students as well as working Nagas in Mumbai expressed their fervent opinion on the instant need for peace and brotherhood and appealed the Naga leaders to come forward, leaving aside their preposterous differences and unite to accomplish our common cause.
The mass prayed by lighting the candle for the unity of all factions and to achieve the common cause. The mass prayer was concluded by Rungshing. The Naga elders, senior students and many well wishers of the Nagas were present in the service.
