GSHG Pangti general session: The 3rd general session of Genus Self Help Group (GSHG), Pangti has been convened on April 21 and P. Nthio, TO (advisor) would exhort the gathering. All registered members have been requested to attend the session. Action would be taken against members failing to attend as per the group resolution, added GSHG. DNYE condemns assault: Dimapur Nkonjam Yimkha Ekhung (DNYE) has expressed strong resentment and vehemently condemned the assault on April 13 midnight at Liphanyan where one Bimol, caretaker of a farm owned by Benrithung Ezung was assaulted by a group of youth for no reason. In a condemnation note Nyanbemo Ngullie, chairman and M. Sacheo Ezung, secretary urged the law enforcing authority to book the culprits as per the law of the land and also said that mere warning against the guilty would not be tolerated.
FGN Sumi region inform public: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Sumi region has informed all public and business establishments that Vikihe is the ‘Midan Peyu’ of Sumi region FGN and that V. Attoka Zhimomi who claims to be ‘Midan Peyu’ Sumi region FGN issuing note and collecting house and ration tax at Aqhahuto area is fictitious and does not belong to their fold. Vikihe Zhimo, ‘Midan Peyu’ Sumi region FGN in a press statement has requested all the general public and business establishments not to entertain the ‘so called Midan Peyu’ V. Attoka Zhimomi.
NSF informs: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has informed all the official council and members of organizing committee 24th General Conference to report to the NSF Office on April 20 at 6am for official visit to the conference venue at Pfutsero Town, under Phek district. All responsible members have been requested to assemble without fail.
Submission of representatives lists: Walford Area Council (WAC) in a general meeting held on April 9 has resolved to form a new tenure on or before April 25 and also to form a women’s wing and youth wing under WAC for the tenure 2011-13. Council chairman has requested all communities residing under WAC to submit their representatives’ lists.
Sepfüzou Colony on sale of banned drugs, alcohol: Sepfüzou Colony Welfare Board (SCWB) has come out strongly against sale of banned drugs and alcohol within its jurisdiction. The board has asked its members to refrain from such anti-social activities and report to the authority concerned if anybody was found violating the laws for necessary action. Further, the board has informed all its members to participate in the mass social work to be conducted on April 20.

WCSU VCS, Phek new team: Victorious Club, Phek (VCSP) in its annual meeting on April 17 elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-2014. The team would be led by Surhonieyi Soho as president and Sheto Rhakho as the general secretary. Outgoing president Muramo Venuh was inducted as advisor of the club. Meanwhile, the meeting of the next club general meeting has been convened on May 8 at the residence of its advisor Muramo S. Venuh. All VCSP members have been asked to attend the meeting.
