Lakshmi Venu, the only daughter of TVS Motor Chairman Venu Srinivasan, will wed Rohan Murthy, the only son of Infosys mentor N R Narayana Murthy, Monday in Chennai. “The muhurtham is between 9 am and 10 am. The wedding will happen in traditional South Indian style,” said a source. It is learnt that around 700 people have been invited for the wedding at the family house (Lakshmi’s maternal grandfather’s house). This is the same place where Venu Srinivasan wed Mallika in 1982. This brought two big industrial families – TVS and Amalgamations – together. “The celebrations have already begun since last Sunday,” said the source. Film art director Thotta Tharani will do the interior and decoration work while cooks from various countries will flow down for the occasion. The couple, who had met through a common friend, got engaged in a private ceremony in August 2010.
