Dimapur Police personnel arrested person on charges of possessing illegal arms Tuesday. “Acting on information from reliable source about possession of illegal arms, Dimapur police personnel raided a house located near Tata parking area, Khermahal on June 21 and recovered one 9 mm pistol from the house of one Minto Sharma, son of R.B.Sharma from Gorakhpur, U.P., Dimapur police PRO said, adding a case has been registered again the arrested accused under Arms Act. Meanwhile, the police have issued a corrigendum in connection with three persons who were arrested with arms June 19. Police said one of the accused identified as one Mhabemo Ezung (26), son of K Ezung, hailed from Yonchucho village, Wokha, and not as informed earlier. “The inadvertent error is due to furnishing of false information by the accused,” police said.
