DCCI: The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) along with allied Frontal Business Organization (FBO) vehemently condemned the incident where a grenade was hurled at the go-down of a cement dealer at 3rd mile near ARTC killing one Niranjan Das while inflicting serious injuries upon one Jhalak Dhar and minor injuries upon two innocent customers namely Khazeto and Kheleputo.
DCCI in a press statement issued by its president, Hokivi Chishi said the incident has come as a rude awakening to the fact that the people particularly the business community are still vulnerable to such kind of cowardly and dastardly acts that claim the lives of innocent citizens, and said the incident has only added to the long list of attacks against the business community.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, DCCI said the business community of Dimapur is going through a confused state of being burdened with different types of extortions and all threats by some anti-social elements that are terrorizing the traders in the name of different factions.
In this regard, DDCCI has appealed to all factions concerned to seriously check such instances of misuse of authority and power by errant cadres or other anti-social elements and ensure that the innocent businessmen are not victimized.
DCCI also reiterated the fact that normal business, trade and commerce cannot be carried with a fear psychosis at a time when the Nagas are seeking peace, prosperity and a secure life.
Meanwhile, the president and colleagues of DCCI along with the FBO expressed its heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to give them strength and solace.
The DCCI also expressed its sincere solidarity with the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery.
DCCI strongly appealed to the district administration and law enforcing agencies to take immediate action to nab the culprits and award befitting punishment as per the law of land and assured the business community would extend co-operation to the law enforcing agencies in bringing the culprits to book.
DCCI also appealed to all anti-social elements to refrain from committing such unwarranted acts and embrace peace for all round social and economic development.
NSCN/GPRN: The UT-I of the NSCN (I-M) strongly condemning the bomb blast at Yeptho Enterprises at 3rd mile Thursday said it would not allow any person/factions/groups trying to spoil the “hard earned peace” in its jurisdiction.
NSCN/GPRN deputy kilonser (kilo) cum caretaker UT-I said its investigating agencies were also in full swing to apprehend those involved.
He said whosoever was involved would be dealt accordingly befetting to the crime committed.
Further, the NSCN conveyed heartfelt condolence to the family members of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the bomb attack.
DVC: Darogapathar village council (DVC) has condemned the “savage and barbaric act” where a person was killed and two others injured within its jurisdiction by “unlawful element(s)” who hurled bomb at innocent public with clear intention to kill and maim. The village council chairman L. Inazhe Sema and secretary Ate Kapfo in a joint statement urged the police and investigation agency to leave no stones unturned to bring to book those culprits. The council also requested e villagers living in the vicinity to provide any information that could assist in investigation. Meanwhile, DVC has expressed condolences to the bereaved family and wished speedy recovery to those injured.
