Unidentified armed miscreants attacked Inavi/Naga United village Thursday at around 2.30 p.m. and killed two persons-the chairman and assistant GB besides injuring two others and setting fire to 35 thatched houses including a motor bike. SP Peren told Nagaland Post over phone, that attack was carried out by around 30 armed miscreants who entered Inavi/Naga United village inside Intangki National Park. Those killed included the village chairman Inashe and assistant GB Vikeshe Sumi. The two injured persons identified as Heshito and Pikuto who were admitted to Zion Hospital and Civil Hospital, Dimapur. SP said investigation was on as the group behind the attack was yet to be identified. An additional company of the 14 IR personnel along with police officers led by addl. SP Peren, SDO (C) Athibung, and administrative officers have been deployed at the site to prevent further incidents, he said.
