Supporting the decision of the unit organizations with regard to implementation of 33% reservation for women, Naga mothers’ association (NMA) Sunday said that since women represents half the population, the constitutional and Fundamental Rights of women cannot be denied.
In a joint statement NMA president Abei-u Meru and secretary Lochumbeni Humtsoe said to integrate women in the decision making body and to recognize their contribution to the cause of nation building was essential.
