ECI on revision of electoral rolls

Election Commission of India has announced special summary revision of electoral rolls with January 1, 2012 as the qualifying date.
In a release the CEO said the drafts publication are– October 1, period for filing of claims and objections-October 1 to November 1, reading of relevant part /section of photo electoral rolls in gram sabha/ local bodies and RWA meetings etc.
Verification of names would be held from October 8 and October 11, special campaigns dates with Both Level Agents of Political parties for receiving claims and objections–October 9, October 16 and October 23, disposals of claims and objection–December1’
Updating the database of merging of photographs, updating the control to tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list would be held from December 1 to 31 and final publication of electoral rolls – January 5, 2012.
