The 2nd Youth conference of United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA) which was held from July 13-15 at Life Spring Corner Dimapur under the theme ‘Unite and seek’ concluded on Friday.
Speaking at the conference as chief guest T. L. Merry vice president NPF said the youth have an important role to play on the reconciliation process.
He also emphasized on the importance of music and urged every youth to put an effort in everything they do saying God helps those who help themselves.
He further congratulated Rev. Dr. Wati Aier for being conferred with Denton and Janice Lotz Human Rights award by Baptist World Alliance at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
Meanwhile, in the solo competition, United Baptist Church (UBC) Gatum was declared first and UBC Bor-Lingri and UBC Balijan second and third respectively.
In the choir competition, UBC Choto Lingri was declared first and UBC Balijan and UBC “A” Mao colony second and third respectively.
Speakers of the conference were Rev. L. Hevuto Awomi executive secretary UBCA, Rev. Y.T. Lotha president UBCA, rev. Dr. Khasheto Aye secretary mission evangelism and pastor Richard Mech secretary youth UBCA.
It may be mentioned that about 150 youth attended the conference.
