Mhainamtsi sub centre new building funded by NRHM was inaugurated on July 15 by Dr. B. Yanger Ao, chief medical officer, Peren.
Those who attended the programme included district medical officers, VC & VHC members and villagers.
The CMO in his inaugural speech expressed gratitude to NRHM for funding the new sub centre building, terming it as a much awaited requirement.
The chief guest while expressing appreciation to the community for their contribution in making the construction a successful one, urged them to further assist the department by making unceasing contribution with the feeling of ownership citing the sub centre structure was not an end, but a beginning. Gaibaung, VHC chairman in his short speech thanked the department of health and family welfare and those involved in the construction, stating it was a much awaited dream ever since the establishment of the sub-centre way back in 1989.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sani Stephen, pharmacist.
Other highlights of the programme included speech by Somdyang, ex- VHC chairman, Dr. Tiasunep, DTO, and invocation and vote of thanks Kentippe Pastor MBC and Miucham Gonmei, VC chairmen respectively.
