19th Phek ACCC refutes statement

The 19th Phek ACCC refuted the press statement issued by Phek district Nagaland contractors and suppliers union (NCSU) published in local dailies on July 21 and 28. 19th Phek ACCC stated that its members attended the meeting convened by NCSU and its participation in the informal discussion was purely in the interest of the public.
19th Phek ACCC president Huvosa S. Venuh and vice president Murhaveyi Khesoh in a press release said that Phek district NCSU should not take advantage of the good gesture shown by 19th Phek ACCC to mislead public. Phek ACCC alleged that NCSU’s appreciation of DAN government for various development activities in Phek district was also politically motivated as not a single project in the district had been completed in the district. The ACCC also questioned whether district NCSU could take the responsibility of creating liability assets by contractors from some other districts.
Also pointing out the silence and failure on the part of the department in-charge to issue clarification on financial irregularities highlighted by the Congress party, Phek ACCC said it would not stop till the department issues clarification to the satisfaction of the public. 
Demanding that department should clarify as to why the contractor still failed to resume the work despite public out-cry; Phek ACCC said the contractor and the department would be held responsible for any untoward situation.
