In an effort to promote the rich pool of musical talents in Nagaland, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with Rattle & Hum Music Society Nagaland launched a monthly program on Saturday titled ‘Horizon Series Program’ at The Heritage, Kohima.
In his address, chief guest Kezhokhoto Savi, president, Rotary Club Kohima expressed gratitude to ICCR for coming forward to promote Naga talents.
He also exhorted all present saying promotion of culture was promoting peace and urged all to be ambassadors for peace. Radharaman Chatterjee – Director Regional Office in his short speech, enlightened the participants with the vision and activities of ICCR.
The performers for the evening were OFF Band, Kenie and Menguse, Kusazo, Tetse-o sisters, Noune and a folk dance was presented by Ao students Kohima. The event was chaired by Theja Meru of Rattle & Hum Music Society.
About 20 forms were also handed out to musicians to start the process for empanelment with ICCR.
