Applicants invited for IAF

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited applications from un-married male Indian citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in November 2011, to join as airmen in group ‘X’ (technical) trades. 
According to a defence release, the last date for receipt of applications at the central airmen selection board is August 9, 2011 and applications should be sent to the president, Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No: 11807, New Delhi- 110010 by “Ordinary Post” only. 
Candidates born not before January 1, 1991 and not after February 28, 1995 (both dates are inclusive) are eligible. Candidates should have passed intermediate /10+2 with pass marks in mathematics and physics with a minimum of 50% marks in the overall aggregate or they should have passed a 3-year diploma course in engineering (mechanical electrical/electronics/automobile/computer science/instrumentation technology/information technology) with minimum 50% marks, from a government recognized polytechnic institute. 
Eligible candidates would be sent admit cards to appear for the written test, which is scheduled to be held during November 2011 at Ambala, New Delhi, Kanpur, Barackpore, Jodhpur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Bihta (Patna),  Guwahati, Secunderabad,  Kochi  and  Bhopal. 
Candidates would be tested in English, physics and mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo physical fitness tests (PFT) on the same day or the next day and candidates who have passed the written test and PFT would undergo an Interview. 
Applications should submitted be on A4 Size paper only. The documents to be sent along with the application are attested copies of matriculation certificate in support of date of birth, attested copies of marks sheet and certificates of educational qualification i.e. intermediate or 10+2 (in single copy), three copies of un-attested recent (taken on or after July 16 2011) passport size colour photographs (front portrait without headgear, except for Sikhs), one of these photographs is to be pasted on the application form, and the other two photographs are to be stapled to the top left corner of the application form.
