KSU extravaganza

Women Affairs of Konyak Students’ Union, (KSU) organized an extravaganza programme at Council Hall, Mon town on July 29 at 4, pm.
Women coordinator, Pelhak Monyu in her speech stated the objective of the programme was to uplift women folk.
The programme was graced by Yollow Konyak block development officer, rural development block Mon.  He stressed on the foremost importance with regard to women upliftment in the present scenario as a must to compete with the outside world.
Various items were performed schools all over Mon district.
Participants, mostly women, presented different items like song, dance, cultural show, fashion show, drama etc.
The show was judged by Engo Konyak, Lecturer, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Mon and Meilem Konyak lecturer, government higher secondary school Mon. St. John School Mon bagged the first prize while Edith Douglas School Mon and Don Bosco School Mon were adjudged second and third respectively. Participants were given certificate of appreciation. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Pelhak Monyu.
