In a strongly-worded statement, Angami Public Organisation, has served a last warning on chairman of ‘Naga United Village’ Sazo Zümvü to vacate Intanki National Park within seven (7) days notice and warned it would take appropriate and necessary action against him if he failed to do so.
APO president Kekhriengulie Linyü and general secretary Keneingunyü Sekhose said the Angami community was “embarrassed and ashamed” that Sazo Zümvü who called himself as “chairman” of “self-styled Naga United Village” at Ntangki National Park , was “spearheading the encroachers without legal and ethical validity and legitimacy.”
Stating that Zümvü’s act was in “gross violation of the wishes and resolutions of the people of our state,” APO said there was no question of a village being inside the Park “as a result of an official resolution by the Angami or Nagas.”
APO reminded Zümvü that he had ignored serious warnings issued to him to immediately stop “illegal intrusion and encroachment” inside Ntangki National Park by the Tenyimi People’s Organisation.
The signatories asserted that all Angamis under APO have nothing to do with whatsoever “criminal intrusion and claim” for establishing Naga United Village that had no legal validity and also alien to Angami culture. Establishing the village inside the Park has tarnished the good image of the Angamis in particular and Nagas in general, APO said.
