Another batch of a combined force drawn from different NAP Battalions will soon be deployed at Delhi to relieve those personnel from 1st and 2nd NAP Bn presently deployed in New Delhi.
Altogether, 9 companies drawn from 2nd, 3rd and 4th NAP battalions are proposed to be deployed in Delhi as the deployment period of 1st and 2nd NAP is due to be completed.
Confirming this, DGP, K. Kire told Nagaland Post that the PHQ had sent the proposal to the state government for necessary approval. Once the PHQ receives the government approval, the movement of force will start likely by this month, Kire said.
It may be mentioned that a total force of 9 companies of the state armed police force consisting of 6 Companies from the 1st NAP Bn and 3 Companies from 2nd NAP Bn are presently deployed for various static duties in and around Delhi for almost two years.
