Quality sanitary napkin production unit in Kohima

Department of science & technology has started a production unit for producing quality based, cost effective, hygienic and easily decomposable sanitary napkins, and Huggies in large scale.
The unit located at New capital complex below main secretariat formally started the production on March 21 this year.
The department has launched awareness campaigns along with free distribution of the product in the rural areas where there is less/total negligence for health care was the main objective.
The successful implementation of the programme would control spread of vulnerable diseases and maintain a clean environment in the state.
